Personal Information

When you register on the Krishi Patro app, we collect your phone number and name. This information is used solely for account identification and authentication.

Sign in with Google or Facebook

If you choose to sign in using Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider, with your permission. This information is used solely to create and authenticate your KrishiPatro account. We do not post to your Facebook account, access your Facebook friends list, or share this information with any other third party.

Location Information

With your permission, we use location information to provide weather updates and local market prices. Location data is never shared without your explicit consent.

Crop and Farming Data

Crop information, planting dates, and farming activities you add to the app are stored to improve your personalized calendar experience.

Usage Data

When you use the app, we record which screens and features you open and how often, your app sessions, and when you were last active. This is linked to your account so we can see which features are useful, improve the app, and help you when you contact support. We never sell this data or use it for advertising. Error logs (crash reports) are also collected to fix problems.

Device and Notification Data

We store your device type, operating system, app version, whether notifications are enabled, and a notification token issued by Google Firebase. The token lets us send weather alerts and, occasionally, a message addressed to you personally (for example, a reply to a support request or an important account notice). You can turn notifications off at any time in your phone's settings.

We Do Not Sell Your Information

Krishi Patro never sells or rents your personal information to third parties.

Third-Party Services

We use the following trusted service providers: • Google LLC (Firebase) – Mobile app authentication, database, push notifications and crash reports • Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook Login) – Authentication for users who choose to sign in with Facebook • Open-Meteo – Weather forecast services These providers process data under their own privacy policies and comply with GDPR and related laws.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information only when required to comply with a court order or legal obligation.

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information: • Data transmission via HTTPS encryption • Database access control via Firestore security rules • Regular security reviews No internet transmission can be 100% secure, but we take all reasonable steps to keep your data safe.

Retention Period

We retain your information while your account is active. After you delete your account, you can restore it by signing back in within 60 days; after that, your personal data, including usage data, is permanently deleted.

Krishi Patro is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
